Boost controlers Turbosmart v.s. Dawes device 700

Was looking to install a boost controler to help the turbo spool faster under low rpm operation,it appears that the Dawes device is some sort of pressure relief type valve with a vent so when the valve closes the pressure in the actuator has some place to go and the Turbosmart controler seems to use an adjustable bleed with a check valve built in.Has anyone installed either of these units and what kind of results came out of the installation?
Thanks in advance,
Scott 89' 740t, electric fan, boost+temp controlled, adjustable cam gear at 2 degrees advance,2 1/2 cat back magna flow exhaust, stock airbox with inlet restrictor removed with K+N filter.
