Adding Expansion tank w/ coolant sensor 700 1989

My car has no coolant sensor on the exp tank. But has anyone swapped in a tank with a sensor already on?

My specific question is if the wiring is already present. I see an empty plug coming out of the wire harness near expansion tank but not sure what option this might have been for.
