I just bought a Volvo OEM tank from FCP Groton that already has the float inside the tank. Just have to pick up the sensor (also from FCP) and wire it up. Am planning on doing this to my 945 which has the low coolant light already on the dash...not sure about my 765 though.

No way would I ever drill/tap/glue anything into my coolant system, at least with the system already integrated into the plastic tank I have nothing to lose if it doesn't work.
