Greetings,
I have a 1988 Volvo 745 with 363,000 Km and until 6 months ago, has been running like a watch. Intermitantly, about once a week, it will lose power and won't rev above 1200 RPM even in neutral acting like a defective in tank fuel pump. The tach follows the RPM down and it will still idle smooth, but hunt if you try to give it more throttle than 1200 RPM (we have changed the intank pump 3 times in the last 6 months) We replaced the fuel pump relay, fuel filter, main fuel pump, throttle position sensor, coolant sensor, fuel lock, plugs, wires, had the injectors cleaned, and the catylic converter remouved. I checked the module and wiring under the passenger kick panel and they are perfect. Quickly turning the ignition off and back on makes the problem instantly dissapear, making it look like an electrical problem. The local Volvo shop had it for two weeks and couldn't find it at all, and when I took it back and showed them, they had never seen one do that. Please help.....we are at the end of our rope!
Thanks
