No reverse lights 200

Today while backing into the driveway, my grilfriend say smy reverse lights are not on. I check the bulbs and they are ok. I cleand the bulb housing and the connecters and still no lights. I found if I jiggle the shifter the driver side may come on but there is no life on the passenger side. What is causeing it to do this?
