Hey all,
I lost reverse a few days ago and I thought it was just my clutch slave cylinder (had a slight leak, very slight). I just finished rebuilding that which was suprisingly easy, bleed it and all that good stuff. Clutch disengauges fully and feels fine, but still no reverse I can move the shifter over but can not and I mean can not physically move it up into reverse, feels like there is a physical blockage. First gear has been a little trouble some as well if I am at a stop but if I am rolling it slides right in, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are all fine. So, I was wondering what could be the issue (or the most probable one). I plan on taking out the seats and see what I can see from on top of the tunnel(is this a good idea or am I wasting my time, I have never taken out a tranny so I am reluctant to do it and would like to avoid it if possible but if it has to be done it has to be done...its a 67 222 with a M40 has had no problems up until this point, this is also my daily driver so its kind of important to get her going again. Also if the suggestion is a rebuild or whatnot does anyone know of any good shops within the Phoenix,AZ area, that are reasonable but more importantly do good work?
Thanks in advance,
Alan
