Pusher or Puller 700 1990

I just installed an electric fan in front of my condenser unit, behind the grill (easy access). There is a noticable difference in my ac performance while in stop and go traffic but no difference in the temp gauge. This fan is a puller fan, not a pusher. Should I go through the process of changing it to a pusher or leave as is. I am living in Florida with 5 mos of above 90 temps so I wired it to be on constantly and will disconect when A/C is no longer mandatory. I have not had any problems with overheating just a/c performance issues. Thanks 1988 240 DL & 1990 740 GL
