HELP!!! 120-130 1967

My 122 is having some trouble. It began last night driving home. I was driving normally and suddenly the engine lost power. The revolutions decresed, and if the engine stayed on and I tried to resume driving the engine would die. It had no power to operate when in gear. I puled over and was shortly later I was able to restart and drive the car. Then when I was almost home the car did it again. It lost power and would quit if I put it in gear. Well today it got worse. I drove it to and from school with no problem. However when I started it up after I got home the engine was gutless again. If I push the gas too hard the engine decreases in RPM and sometimes the engine will quit with the slightest touch of gas. However I had to keep my foot on the gas to keep the engine alive.
Also there is sometimes a loud pop and on a few occasion gas spurted vertically from the carb.
Maybe it has something to do with starting up the car. The first night I had just started the car and left a gas station.
The B18 is fitted with a weber carburator.

Any suggestions.
Thanks
Thomas
