Open Gasket... - the plot thickens/avoiding cremation etc etc etc 120-130 1967

Hi,

You can get the gaskets from Burlen in the UK if all else fails - see http://www.burlen.co.uk/partList.aspx?carID=9952. They should be economic to buy there as postage wouldn't be very expensive - even to the USA. The gaskets that they supply are thicker than a paper gasket and are made of some sort of green or ox blood coloured fibrous material that doesn't tear very easily.

VP Autoparts may have something similar as should any of the US based British classic car specialists - a lot of them (MG etc) used SU carbs.

Just make sure that they're for the HS6 and not the HS4...
