Spare 'donut' tire

A full size tire will fit, albeit will lift up the whole trunk floor cover a little bit.

If you want to keep it flush, do what I did. Mount a 165R15, a tire commonly used in old VW Beetles. They are within spec to mount on the narrow rim, but being a real tire, you will not be limited to the 50mph/50 miles that the temporary spares are designed for. Yes, the overall diameter is larger, but it will clear all components just fine.

Should run around $30 or so. Don't even waste money on balancing ... that tire will be sitting in the spare well for several years anyways.
