Re needles. You are loosening the screw that goes in from the side of the piston, right? Not the setscrew that you see in the bottom. If the needle won't come out, let it sit overnight with some PB-Blaster on it. Next day try to wiggle it a bit, then push it down, and then try to pull it out - carefully so you don't bend the needle.No pliers, unless you wrap the jaws in something to keep them from scarring the needles. If they won't come out, keep repeating the exercise. They should, eventually give.
