return line length 700 1987

thanks,
I just thought it might be easier and more fool-proof to replace the whole line rather than splice it in. The section I already fixed was in the rigid middle section = hard plastic? When I run the car and look underneath it actually looks like the new leak is coming from the thicker line coming from the tank to the main pump about a foot away from the tank. This line looks like 1/2" plastic. Searching the archives it looks like this line rarely fails.
