Regina problems 700 1990

What are the code number/s being set? Pull the number/s ( check for more than one code ,as per the 700/900 faq), then clear the memory, start the car and let it run a few minutes, shut off then check for codes again.
Off the top of my head, I would say that you somehow lost O2 signal ground when the head pipe was replaced.
You can check that if you have a DVOM. Check for continuity between O2 sensor base ( with signal plug from o2 sensor to ECU disconnected), and the ECU ground connection at the intake manifold.
