intermittant no start and intermittant dead 93 940 900 1993

On our 93 940 with the rex/regina ign--over the past year--the car will either not start at all--cranks--then will act as if battery is dead and not crank at all. When it cranks and doesnt start--the tach doesnt move while cranking. Then--the car may start and run perfectly for a few days and then act up again. Iv changed the coil-fuel pump relay-ground cable from the battery down to the block. When it cranks and doesnt start -fuel pump is always humming when this happens.
This car is not used on a reg basis--so havent done much more than stated above--other than to check any codes when the car does run--and get nothing showing up. The coil I put in the car was used--and wondering if they can fail intermittantly--but-the symptoms of a dead battery--when its fully charged--all these things together have me seeking advise. Thankfully--i have access to a number of used parts-so havent spent alot of money--just time and aggravation. I also did the crank sensor--a after market one from FCP Groton. I also did replace the ignition switch--and still the same intermittant problem.
The car is in very good condition otherwise and has 230k miles and has been well maintained--hate to just unload it--as a aparts car as its in such good shape overall. Thanks for any advise---
