How Much Can I Switch Out...? 200

My son wrecked my 90-244 last week and I am trying to find a cheap 240 (in North Carolina) to replace and benefit from the usable parts still on the wrecked one. I have found a 1988-245. There are a lot of things I can interchange, but the Groton site indicates there are also significant differences.

What say you all? I think the fuel pressure regulator, ECU, IACV, etc are different from 88 to 89 and up...is that your assessment?

Thanks for all of the help now and in the past.
