Ac compressor change 1990 240. Sorry about the double post. My hand slipped.

Ok,
A couple a of years ago I converted my system to r134. Ester oil was added to the system. Now, My compreesor is leaking and Im going to install a new one.
The question is this:Would I come out better if I just continue with the ester oil, or should I clean the system out and use paq oil instead.

Also, since Im using r134 should i get a compressor that is designed for r134, or should I go with the r12 compressor.

Thanks. and I would appreciat any other info available. This is like pulling hens teeth.

Lawrence
