Adjustable rear shocks accessory? 200

I have never heard of adjustable rear shocks being offered for the 200-series. I knew that the 700s got the crazy Nivomat leveling spring system (that failed), but I thought the 200s always had basically the same front and rear ends.

The item is located in Sweden, so I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised that there were some really rare items offered there. The piece looks kind of old--does anyone know what years adjustable springs were offered? Where would this switch be installed? Was it worthwhile to have the adjustable rear shocks?
