740 engine and auro trans from 88 to a 88 760t auto

If the 88 740 is a Turbo, you're all set. If it's not, you'll want to find a pre-90 Turbo (740 or 760, doesn't matter) donor car so it's all a plug-in. You can also use an engine from a later car (90-up, 700T or 900T) but you'll find that a couple of sensors on the head need to be changed to the LH 2.2 style that your current engine uses.
