no start after fuel tank xchange 200 1979

so i replaced my fuel tank with one from the wrecker because of a hole in mine, put my in-tank pump the "new" tank, hooked it up and now no start. it will start for a second, and a second longer if i step on the gas, but then dies. i checked wiring of in-tank pump, the pump is getting voltage, the pump works (when attached directly to battery), i replaced the main pump and the fuel filter, made sure i have enough gas, and nothing. same start and then stall story. any input, anyone, please, im out of ideas. clogged fuel line maybe? what else is there. accumulator? relay is pretty new (about 2 years) and when i jump the relay same thing happens. any suggestions would be much appreciated. i think ill go pull the lines and try and blow through them. the fumes and making me a little crazy, i dont really even notice them anymore.....
cheers
s
