That'll larn ya to mess about with those black magic boxes! Just be careful you don't let the "smoke" out of it!!

On an 1800, (also w/ Smith gauges, no?) the tach is spliced into the wire from the coil to the distributor, isn't it? So, isn't the dash mounted Smiths tach, such as the one on the 123GT wired the same way? Electrics aren't my strong point, which is why I tend to leave things stock.
