nothing serious 900 1993

Just a metal pipe decided it was time to crack, and left the black hard rubber tube hanging, which I noticed when I finished shopping at Dick's sporting goods. It drove fine home. When I got home I used duct tape to repair it. Does anyone know what pipe cracked and if duct tape will hold it forever if I take care of changing the duct tape every so often. I noticed there was a black metal pipe behind it, and another black hard rubber pipe under the radiator in front of it looking up under the front egine.

Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.

Laur
