Hot idle problem - 74 164E 140-160

In line with George, the auxiliary air valve is still available new from Volvo. I just had my parts manager order one for me yesterday because my vehicle is exhibiting similar symptoms.

As previously mentioned, I had to get the car nice and hot and then set the idle. Consequently, I'm forced to live with a higher-than-I'd-like cold idle until the new part arrives.

Make sure that your throttle plate and throttle position sensor are properly set first, though.
