'86 740 Bosch Ignition Prob

Thank you for the advice.

No, the tach does not drop to zero. It drops less than 1K RPM's. Though the misfire appears to be quite regular, the engine never tries to die.

I have ordered an OEM coil since I am suspect of the generic I installed. Though this seems to be a stretch, the problem didn't start until after the OEM quit and I replaced it with the generic. If I understand the general idea of how the coil works within the ignition system, the fact that under load and at higher RPM's I cannot detect a misfire fits. Less demand on the secondary of the coil at higher RPM's.

I'll post with the results after I install the coil tomorrow.
Thanks again,
Steve
