You've cleared out your cookies, or are connecting from a new computer for the first time. Once you leave and re-enter, it'll have the date correct.

The unix-based machines often used for servers revert to a date like this if all the date bits are "Zero". No cookie, no record of previous connection, incorrect date.

I see it all the time when I connect from a computer at work.
