crank position sensor? where? 700

There is no crank sensor on this earlier-model car. The NA cars gain the crank sensor in 1989; Turbos get it in 1990.

The distributor is a very common problem on old 740/760T models however. I replaced the dist on my 88 about 3 or 4 years ago to end a stalling problem. It never cut out ever again after that. Some people have successfully changed the hall sensor out of the dist; if you're looking for a more bolt-on solution just spend the $$ and change the whole thing out.
