Engine Drive Belts Mis-aligned and proposed solution...need feedback. 200 1993

If the rear bracket of the AC is not tightened, the compressor will pull out of line. I have never had a problem with the brackets bending.

I believe you will be able to get everything straight again if you check every bolt holding brackets to the AC and PS pump- I've had a number of problems with the PS pump in both the remote-reservoir style and the 91+ one piece type coming loose from the pump, allowing pump movement and belt misalignment.

Make sure the bolts through the accessory bushings are tight enough to compress the bushings and make them tight- requires a second wrench on the back side usually.
