Wait a minute... 140-160

Lots of people talk about the ideal ratio & back in the ‘80’s & ‘90’s that was something around 2:1.

Would that not pertain to the style of engine the B30 is? Is a 1.5:1 ratio the best with a modified B30?

My opinions on long rods is that they are a good fix for some overall design flaws.

Without major improvements to head/engine design would longer rods then best suit the B30?

Now it’s something around 1.75:1, but if you look in BMW’s & Honda’s best motors they are using around 1.5:1, as do the humungous SBC & SBF with the great heads that are available these days.

So how does that translate with a B30F head?
