Chrysler: Thumbs Down from this Brickster 200 1990

We had an '86 Caravan, which we bought new.
Based on that misexperience, we will probably never again own another Chrysler vehicle.

I won't bore you with all the details. However:
Standard tranny had to be rebuilt.
Engine was replaced with Chrysler-rebuilt at 135K miles. By 175K it sounded the same as the original did just before replacement.

Clutch cable bracket was stamped cheap sheet metal, rusted out and bent.
E-brake lever was also cheap stamped sheet metal; bent under normal use.
Replacement e-brake lever was identical to original. Manufacturer learned nothing in the interim.
I could go on.

We ditched the Caravan in Jan. '95, and bought an '86 245, 118K miles on the clock when bought. Drove that 245 till fall of '04, handed it to the kids, they took it past 400K miles, it went to Volvo Valhalla in spring of '05. rip.
