Starter interchange 1800

The solenoid connectors may also be different. Make notes if you grab one from the junk yard & be prepared to crimp on new terminal connectors.

all the "big" ones are interchangeable, "small" starters started around '87 I think. Threads appeared at some point on the 140 series, I think 14 7/16"... And then they went metric M12/1.75 on the 240. there's room for THIN-WALLED nuts at the ends either way, and the standard bolts thread loose in the metric.

The only thing funky about the automatic is the neutral start switch. just unplug it.
