A few questions - Are wagons more noisy than sedans? Is the blower motor 'audible' at setting 1? 200 1993

I "upgraded" from my 88 NA 240 auto to a 93 NA 245 manual. I loved the old car, and am pleased as punch with the new one, despite the usual "getting the car to my liking" repairs.

One thing that I have noticed is that it that it seems significantly noisier, more ambient noise at all speeds.

Is this a general rule? I can't say for sure because too many variables in comparing my old and new 240s. The new has a sunroof (not fun in the winter, but come spring - woo hoo!), and power windows, and a manual transmission.

Speaking of sunroofs, mine drains to just above the hinge in the drivers door frame - is this the stock place? Seems odd, since it is generating a fair amount of ice on the rubber tube that passes the electric wires into the door...

As some of you might remember, I just had a new blower motor put in. I can't hear it at setting 1, and don't feel any air being pushed. At speed, air comes through, but I think that is because the vents are "open". I've tried turning off the demister, turning off the floor, and closing all but one of the vents and tried to feel air at 1, but nothing noticeable comes out if the car is stationary. Bad install? On 2, 3, and 4, it is audible and definitely working - in fact, on 4 it is like a hurricane. Well, maybe not in air volume or air velocity, but it sure is loud.

Anyway, an thoughts on any of the questions above would be appreciated.
