B20 head gasket change

I'm not really sure I understand your question. The steel rings on the gasket overlay the piston bore. They do not seat inside the bore. If I hold the edge of the gasket flush or(square)to any edge of the block, it doesn't seem to line up w/ the bores very well. If your mentioning any other ring, I'm in the dark as to what you are refering to. I'm sure your not talking about the piston rings. if the rings your refering to are like the removeable collets installed on the intake(between intake manifold and head), mine doesn't have them.
Thanks for the reply.
Eric
