I need some advice 900

My problem is: I don't know if i should get rid of my brick. A 1993 940 N/A. I have had it since November and about every month something happens to it. Three times the seal from the water pump has blown, and i am pretty sure that it is on its way again, my exhaust fell off, by the way its only a couple years old, and when it fell it destroyed the emergency brake cables, and now the exhaust smells weird. Even worse is that i still owe like 2500 dollars on the car, because i bought it with the engine and transmission being swapped. So i am getting a little discouraged and might have a chance to take over payments on my step dads truck because he is sick and no longer able to drive. So should i just take over the truck and get this car out of my life, or should i keep getting it fixed in hopes that it will be solid after this repair. This repair should set me back about 400 dollars at least with no hourly rates because i keep bringing it back to the dealer/repair shop i bought it from.(Maybe that is the problem)

In essence i am just wondering what some of you bricksters might do in my situation. Be the way i am 20 years old and going to college so i am for sure broke and cant afford to keep fixing the Volvo.

Thanks as usual for the insight and great advice.
