I "think" I've narrowed this one down but would like confirmation before spending the bucks. Here are the symptoms:
1:Start the car up in the morning, everything is great.
2:Drive the car for roughly 10 minutes or longer and shut it off. Leave it sit for 10 to 20 minutes, and then try to restart the car. It starts and stalls due to a low idle within seconds. To restart, the gas pedal has to be held down a bit for 3 seconds or so.
3: Drive the car for more than 10 minutes, shut it off, and leave it sit for a few hours. Car starts great, no problem.
4: Same conditions as #2, but after it stalled, I shut it off and removed the spark plugs. The plugs from the #1 and #2 cylinders were soaked in fuel/gas/petrol, #3 and #4 were nice and dry.
Now, within the past 15K miles, everything has been replaced or rebuilt with the exception of the injectors. Yes, I mean everything... right down to the valves, pistons, FPR, temp sender, AMM, and on and on and on... except for the injectors.
As a result of the above, I'm thinking I've got two injectors leaking... yes, they do have 240 some odd K miles on them.
Does your evaluation of the above results reach the same conclusion? Yes, I will have all four injectors rebuilt or will replace all four of them with new.
Any input will be greatly appreciated!
