Something to try first 200 1986

hey lucid thanks for posting back! I do have a meter so i can check these things. if i bump the key the voltage goes down a few notches, if i hold it on crank it goes down as far as it physically can go. pretty abnormal acting to me.
I had done the jumper test before...but it was after the car had run for a while, so when it did little to help the situation. I'll have to try this again when the car has sat for a long time and cooled down.
This problem seems to be affected to a very high degree by temperature (if this helps you at all) the colder the weather, the longer it takes to start.
