You're right, Don. My first thought in response to the question was recalling a '76 running pretty well at a bouncing 65psi. Then I saw that the turbo and n/a use the same pump (GFP211/"949") so I went to the Bentley for the pressure spec.

But I failed to consider that the turbo Fuel distributors can have the system relief valve shimmed for a higher pressure. I really don't have enough experience (or documentation) on turbos to do any more than guess about it. Maybe Haynes has a spec for the n/a engine?

Yep—Haynes says 64-77 for n/a, 75-84 for turbos. But we still don't know which pressure "i need help" is asking about, system or contol, and where/how it was measured.
