misfire - Help! 700

Hello again everybody -

After finding a boost leak, my 89' 740 turbo ran great for several months. Then it sat for a few weeks, and the car began to misfire a little bit at really high rpms's, 5.5-6 k. The problem worsened and now it starts misfiring at or a little before 5k. It blows out black smoke and just kicks and stumbles.

I am not sure if it is fuel or ignition related, what should i test? It has lh 2.2 and also if it makes a differece, i put in a T-cam over the winter (again, ran fine with it for several months). Everything else is stock.

All help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

brant
