Engine cutting out problem 200 1989

Just wanted to give you guys that helped me out so much a little up date. The guys at the dealership finally figured the problem out. They took the voltage regulator out it is fell apart in there hands. The brushes were really shot on the thing. After a new one the 240 runs like a champ. So I dont have to take it to them again I need some advice. I'm pretty good with the mecanical side of things leaks and broken stuff I can figure out but electrical gives me a head ache. Are there any other electrical things know to wear out I should look into? I think I'm going to get new RPM sensor since so many of you recomended it. Anything else? I know the starter has brushes should I replace them? I have already done plugs, wires, rotor, and cap. Thanks for the help.
