I was both fortunate and un-fortunate last time I did this job.

Bad luck - put a tiny scratch on the intermediate shaft when the screwdriver tip slipped. Rats! I knew a tiny scratch would leak.

Good luck - I had on hand the 400 grit emery paper to smooth out the shaft enough to remove the scratch. Took 2 hours, though.

I would still use the screwdriver again, with extreme care.
