244 dl power loss and backfire 200 1989

The problem: Car has had this issue on and off since I got it... One day it is fine, another day, it acts like it has a power loss when taking off from a stop about the time it shifts into 2nd gear(auto trans). If I let my foot off and ease back into it, it is fine. As of yesterday, I almost didn't make it home. This is the first time it has backfired. Also, now even after it gets going, if I give it too much gas, it chokes the power like it is trying to stall. If I floor it, backfire city! I have not checked the fuel pressure regulator yet. I am wanting some more insight before I keep putting more money into this car. I am already $1000 in parts in 4000 miles....

These items have been replaced within last year and have only about 4000 miles on them....

AMM RPM sensor Timing belt All belts Alt. Plugs, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter(last weekend) Vacuum Check valve and lines New Connectors on Injectors

All above items checked and functioning correctly along with...

Idle control valve clean flame trap Main fuel pump fuses 25A fuse for fuel pump cleaned injectors
