Speed Sensor Removal?

Hi
I have an 86 740 Turbo Diesel. The speedometer, odometer, and tach do not work.
The tach worked when I got it but took a dive at some point.
I have tried a different speedo, no luck. I have tested for voltage on the speedo wire while driving and nothing.
The wires look good so I figured it was the sensor in the rear axle.

If this sound likely how do I get the darned thing out???

I have taken some from a 1990 where there was a screw and then pull, not the case with this one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
