volvo stereo with amplifier access code 200 1987

I'm from the Philippines and would like to seek advise regarding a Volvo OE stereo with amplifier for a 240, I eagerly bought from ebay in the US. Before its purchase, I forgot all about the access code to make it operable. Unfortunately, the vendor also do not have the code and the donor vehicle was junked already, so no VIN. What I only have is the strereo serial number and model number.

A friend of mine, also from the US inquired from a Volvo dealer in California regarding the access code. Even after presenting the stereo serial/model number and vendor's name on ebay and repeated explanation, she was told that the stereo and the vehicle it was installed in should be brought to the dealer with proper identification and registration papers, etc.

Can someone help me on this?
