Wire to crank sensor - quick question 700 1991

Actually, umm, No.

The crank sensor my be going bad but usually it's a Start no Start thing.

It is just a sensor that lets the rest of the electronics see that the engine is turning. If the Pick-up sees no movement, it doesn't send a signal to the Fuel Pump relay to send fuel to the engine. Someone else can verify this.

So a crappy running car usually isn't the Sensor, although it sounds like it needs changing anyhow.

Have you tried unplugging the AMM and seeing if it's happier?
What lead up to you suspecting te CPS? did the car just die on her? Gradual intermittent starts?
