mechanical fuel pumps 444-544

Hi all:

Does anyone know what the difference is between the mechanical fuel pumps used on the B16 and B18 engines?
It seems that the AC "glass bowl" pumps were used from the very early cars (47 or so) up until early 1965 so it seems to follow the B16 and at least early B18s used the same (or at least very similar) mechanical pumps. All the repair kits available seem to bear this out, at least for the internal parts. There seems to be some difference in the arms that ride on the cam, but I am not sure that this matters. Perhaps the mounting holes are not the same also.
Anyone have any ideas/experience in this area?

TIA & Cheers!
Dave G.
