testing your sensor 200 1991

disconnect the neg bat cable
unplug the sensor harness at the firewall and using a multimeter set for lowest ohms ...the one that sounds a tone ....probe the 2 sensor contacts. you should get a small ohm reading of something like .2 or some such small number.

if you have no ohm reading then very likely the 2 contacts affixed to the sensor windings are damaged and you will need to replace it.

the sensor is incredibly simple in construction with no moving parts.
