problems after spark plug and such replacement 200 1988

ok here goes, I test started car after every thing I replaced, wires, cap, rotor, plugs, car started fine, now I go out to start and it stalls right away, wont start again....timing belt is not broken, but worn, would it be possible for the timing to jump with a worn belt when the car stalled, that is the only thing I can think of, tried 2 fuel pump relays, the one in my car now has a 95 date on it, so it is only 13 years old not 22 like the car is....could car just be flooded maybe or doesn't that happen on FI engines, the timing belt I could probably do, but there is this strictly swedish place I was going to take it to, I was hoping to drive it there though.....I was very careful and gentle on the distributor as to not turn it or anything, so it shouldn't be off there...
