Upper control arm pivot? Upper A-frame shaft? I think I am getting a glimmer
now. Yes those are 7/16"-14 UNC. Sorry for my density. Those are pretty critical
bolts because they also hold the alignment shims and may be subject to eccentric tension
loading depending on the shims required.
If you want to go oversize you could put M12-1.75 bolts in there probably with no more than
running a tap into the hole. The threads are VERY close and the size differs by 0.037".
You would be less than half a thread off at a 1" depth. That would probably be filled by
the difference in diameter in the threaded length of that hole.
