pressure, ignition etc. 120-130

Thanks for the fuel pressure explanation, that helps

What I mean by "non-working ignition" is that my coil is bad. I pulled the coil from this car to put in my 68 back in the spring. This coil looses proper resistance when it get warm, but otherwise it works okay. I don't consider it reliable for normal usage.

There's nothing wrong with the dizzy per-se, but I've not checked the points gap since I put the car back together.

I understand that if there was a harness issue, the injectors would not be firing, but are you saying that there would be no fuel being pumped up to the rail if there was a harness issue?

I've been checking for fuel pump-age by disconnecting the supply hose before the rail and checking it for fuel residue. I've also tried putting the hose into a bottle and cranking to see if any fuel gets up there. Nothing so far, but if it requires a certain fuel pressure to get the fuel pumped, then I would know why.

Now I'm less clear on the problem. Time to get some more tools out.
