Oil Cooler Idea for 140/160, Has Anyone Tried This? 140-160 1970

I was reading this post on the TurboBricks forums: (http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=155756) and I got to thinking about oil cooler options for the pushrod engines. Has anyone tried plumbing an oil cooler using the ATF cooler in auto trans radiators? I would think it would help some. Cooler oil in hot weather and faster oil warm-up in cool weather, more stable temps all the way around. I was thinking of pulling the cooler adapter from an early 240/740 turbo car and having lines made to connect it to the unused connections at the bottom of radiator on my 164. Is this a good idea or not?
Nick
