Intermittent electrical problem 200 1986

Art..
First of all, good to hear from you again. I was actually hoping you would jump in on this thread.
About 8 months ago, I did replace the battery cables and purchased them from FCP Groton.
Since that time I did get some pretty serious corrosion growing on my battery posts and let it ride for a few months before cleaning it up. Is it possible that this corrosion has migrated beneath the insulation on the cable?
As for jumping the car, I have always hooked the cables to the posts on the battery, both on the receiving and donor vehicles.
If you feel certain that this is a classic symptom of a battery cable problem I will definately mention it to the mechanic. You have never steered me wrong before and he is willing to track this problem down at no extra charge.
Thanks for your input. I really do appreciate the help (not only concerning this post, but all of the help you've given in the past).

Dave
