Go back armed with a couple of diagnostics tools and $450 in cash in your pocket.
Take a few combo wrenchs, some 400 grit sand paper, 4-way screwdriver, and a length of wire with alligators on both ends. Take new bulbs for all the items but the headlights
Remove the grounds that might be at fault, clean the ring terminal and the body where it is bolt with sandpaper under the hood. Remove both battery terminals and make sure they are clean and tight...inspecting the wire as it enters the clamp for signs of corrosion. Remove the appropriate interior panels in the back to access the rear grounds and clean those paying particular attention to where it hooks to the light assembly. Also look for hacked wiring for trailer light harness while you are there and make sure all bulbs are good by replacing them. Jumper directly from the offending item to the negative terminal or known bare chasis metal if the problems persist.
Agree to the $450 price if you can get it safe to drive home before doing all this. If it works, you have a car with lots of potential that needs to be throughly gone through cleaning all electrical connections and grounds. Make sure it is not an '87 in disguise with a crumbling wiring harness!
